Celebration & Charity day

Clwyd Retriever Club held a Dog and Gun Day and Pool Shoot to celebrate 40 years of the club on 12th June at Mouldsworth Shooting Ground near Chester by invitation of Mr Peter Sherlock. The day was sponsored by B&S Engineering Ltd. Chester, owned by Mr Steve and Mrs Karen Potts of Nannerch. There were also donations from Mr Neil Sherman and family, Mr John McDonald, Mr Gareth Lewis, K.G.Findlay Interior Designs, Mold, Mr Tom Edwards and Mr Gary McCarthy.
The chosen charity was Shooting Star at the Maelor Hospital, Wrexham.
The winning team was Gary McCarthy with Gwendylen Kemen, Mark Hampton with Moonbeam Misty of Tidepool and Mike Allen with Nethrite Ivory of Santafe. The winner of the Pool Shoot was Chris Maddock.
A very enjoyable day was had by all who attended, the weather also helped to make the day and a big thank you goes to all who came and helped to make the day such a success for The Shooting Star.
We Presented our donation of £1500.00 to The Shooting Star at Wrexham Maelor Hospital on Thursday 17th June by Chairman Mrs Glenys Caldwell, Vice-Chairman Mr Gareth Lewis and Secretary Mrs Mary Roberts.

The Clwyd Retriever Club hold training classes at Gwysaney Hall, Mold where they have been doing so for 40 years and are sponsored by CSJ Cannine Foods, Bodfari and Olympic Trophies, Chester.
